For businesses
Corporate events, client evenings, team experiences and incentives, with a champagne host who speaks English, French and Spanish.
Bonjour, I’m Thomas (Thoma). Having called Épernay home since childhood, I bring over a decade of experience in the wine industry and five years as a local guide to creating bespoke Champagne experiences. From discovering independent Champagne houses and iconic names to intimate, chef-led dinners in my speakeasy-style cellar and stays in my Épernay properties, I offer a personal way to experience the very best of the region.

Champagne doesn't have to stay in Épernay. I travel often, to Mexico, England and Amsterdam among other places, and I can bring the experience to you, for businesses and private clients alike.

Corporate events, client evenings, team experiences and incentives, with a champagne host who speaks English, French and Spanish.
Weddings, celebrations and bespoke evenings at home or at a venue of your choice, built around the champagnes you'd like to discover.
I also work freelance for champagne houses, guiding visits and hosting tastings. If you're a house, an agency or an event planner, write to me. References are available on request.
I can source and bring rare, unique and hard-to-find champagnes that you won't see on a wine list.
Every experience can be adapted to your budget, drawing on my network of local producers, chefs and partners.

All over Champagne, from Épernay.

A full day exploring Champagne through the eyes of its smaller, independent growers, with lunch included.
This is where my local knowledge and friendships make the difference. I take you to growers I know personally, who open their doors and their vines to us, often far from the usual tourist route, from the Montagne de Reims to the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs. You meet the people who make the champagne, not just the places, and we stop for lunch in a village along the way.

The Townhouse · 6 Avenue Maréchal Foch

Down a brick-arched stair from The Townhouse is a vaulted cellar, lit by candles. Here I open high-end, rare champagnes from small and lesser-known producers, bottles you will rarely find outside the region.
A tasting by candlelight, then dinner at one long table. Many of the bottles come from growers I know personally, so you drink them as friends of the winemaker.

The Flat · 30 Rue Pierre Semard

I hold my tastings in The Flat, with the vineyards and the Castellane tower in the windows. It's also a rental for up to eight guests.

Discover four Champagnes from independent growers through a fun, interactive and refreshingly unconventional tasting. Alongside light, complimentary bites, I’ll share the stories behind the bottles and the people who make them, bringing the world of Champagne to life in a relaxed setting.

Trains, airports and getting around
Épernay is easy to reach. Direct trains from Paris Gare de l'Est take about an hour and a quarter. From Charles de Gaulle Airport, a high-speed TGV runs to Champagne-Ardenne TGV station in around 30 minutes, and I can organise transport from there. Épernay station is 200 m from The Flat, and I can organise transport for groups of up to 9 people.

I can organise transport for groups of up to 9 people: from Épernay station, from Champagne-Ardenne TGV, or for longer trips around the region. Tell me what you have in mind and we'll plan it together.
Two rentals in Épernay, each for up to eight guests: The Townhouse, above the cellar, and The Flat, where I hold my tastings.

An old Champenoise house with a wood burner, a projector for films, a garden, and furniture from local champagne houses. Underneath it is a vaulted wine cellar.
The house sleeps eight, in three bedrooms. If you stay, ask me about a tasting or a dinner in the cellar.

Refurbished in 2023, this mid-19th-century apartment is full of character, with incredible views across Épernay. It has been decorated to feel comfortable and welcoming, with vintage Champagne features throughout. It sleeps eight, in three bedrooms with one bathroom.

A Scottish father, a French mother, and a childhood in Champagne. Champagne isn't something I studied. It's where I grew up.
My father is Scottish and my mother is French. Their love story began halfway between them, in North London.
When I was eight, my parents decided to move to my mother's hometown of Épernay, the capital of Champagne.
I spent my childhood discovering the world of the vines, growing up around some of the great growers of today.
After university I learnt Spanish and lived in Mexico for three years, followed by a year in New York City.
After those years of learning, travelling and growing, it felt only right to return to the heart of my family, and to Champagne.
Today I host tastings above the vineyards, show people around the region, hold dinners in the cellar of The Townhouse, and look after two rentals in Épernay. I can host you in English, French or Spanish.
These are the producers you may visit during my tours, and whose champagnes you may drink at my tastings and dinners.

Tom has provided an excellent experience touring the beautiful Champagne region! He is very knowledgeable about the whole process of making champagne, he was super helpful and friendly with my little boy making our experience even better, and the wine houses we visited were great! Small, charming, and the customer service was amazing! We will come back to see other house wines in the future for sure!
We had a fantastic experience with Thomas. He was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and passionate about Champagne.
He took the time to explain the different wines and producers, and the tasting was both interesting and enjoyable.
It’s a great place to discover smaller Champagne producers and taste something different from the big names. The atmosphere is relaxed and intimate, and you can really feel the passion behind the experience.
Highly recommended if you’re visiting Épernay and want to discover Champagne in a more personal and authentic way.
Knowledgeable host, very generous tastings, nibbles to match, amazing view. All in all a great experience. Definitely recommend!
The family and I had a very enjoyable stay in this eclectic property. Easy walk to nearby restaurants. Parking is on a busy street but was not a problem. The wine cellar is a really cool feature of the property. The stairs to the bedrooms were fine for us but could be a bit daunting for anyone with physical challenges. We took full advantage of the kitchen and laundry facilities. Thomas was a great host. Highly recommend this property.
Tom has grown up in Champagne and it shows. His extensive knowledge of smaller independent producers as well as the larger maisons really impressed me, and he constructed a thoughtful and enriching itinerary for our group (3 couples). Tom is a natural host and made every effort to ensure our long weekend in Champagne was one to remember.
We had such a wonderful time at the champagne tasting at Thom’s house! He’s very knowledgeable and absolutely charming, and it was really fun learning about different champagnes, especially from the smaller champagne houses. The cozy, homey setting made it feel really special, and it was such a fun thing to do with friends. Highly recommend!
Fabulous fun evening. The food was delicious and Thoma is an excellent host. A wonderful experience if you have the chance…do it!
A wonderful encounter with Thomas, a fascinating conversation about champagne, and a superb tasting. We left delighted and a little more knowledgeable about champagne.
Great location right near the train station and a short walk to Avenue de Champagne! The apartment was very clean and pristine! Thomas was always a phone call away if we had any questions or needed recommendations. We would definitely stay here again!

Thomas was super welcoming, the place is very centrally located, and we enjoyed the lovely wine cellar on an evening when we dined in.
You sleep “under the roof,” but the beds were good.
